Oof, that quote cuts deep. Sometimes the candles on the cake show up, but the wisdom skips the party.
That hits deep. It's true — growing older doesn’t always mean growing wiser. Life teaches us lessons, but not everyone learns them. Some carry years, others carry understanding.
It’s why I don’t necessarily believe in respecting elders. A young fool will likely become an old fool. That being said, it’s amazing he lived to be that old. If I had to guess, any arrest felt like a life sentence to him.
Being elderly doesn’t give you an excuse to be a scumbag.
You'd think 75 years is enough to learn how to live and not die by gunfire. What a weird way to go.
My guess is this guy provided a lot of misery to people around him during his 75 years.
