Pistoxenos Painter

Cylix of Apollo

It is the work of an Attic workshop, around 480–470 BC. Scholars have suggested Euphronios or Onesimos as the painter, or described it as in the manner of the Pistoxenos Painter. "Sing for the gold-haired Pythios". Diam. 18 cm, 460 v. Chr., Delphi. Archaeological Museum.
The Pistoxenos Painter, whose name is unknown, was an important ancient Greek vase painter of the Classical period. He was active in Athens between 480 and 460 BC.
